Mel Geary joins The Envelope Works

The Envelope Works Ltd, one of the UK’s leading Envelope Printing and Manufacturing Companies, would like to announce that Mel Geary has joined the company as Sales Manager from SCR Envelopes, following Mary Drury joining the team.
Mel has over 40 years experience in the printing business and 19 years in envelopes specifically.
With the new sales office extension complete at the new site in Earby Lancashire, and Mel having joined the company to complete the sales team, The Envelope Works is set to make a huge impact in 2012 that has never been seen before.

Envelope Manufacturer Buck the Economic Trend

The Envelope Works have just been featured in an article at Print Week explaining how they, as an envelope manufacturer, have bucked the economic trend, as follows:
An envelope manufacturer has bucked the economic trend by increasing its turnover from £500,000 to £4m over seven years.
Lancashire-based Envelope Works said it has won 100 new clients in each of the last three years, including 40 since February, and that it was now producing 275,000 litho-printed envelopes per hour and supplying in excess of 1bn per year.
The increased volumes pushed turnover to £400,000 in March.

The Envelope Works Ltd, one of the UK’s leading Envelope Printing and Manufacturing Companies, would like to announce that Mary Drury has joined our company as Sales Manager from SCR Envelopes in Leeds after the recent closure of SCR`s southern sales office.
The Envelope Works is currently in the progress of building an additional sales office extension at its new site in Earby Lancashire following another year of growth. This year has seen record sales achieved and new contracts won, with over forty new clients added in the last five months alone.

The Envelope Works are delighted to have completed and lanuched their first ever interactive brochure movie, part of the launch of their new website.

Perfect Colour Matching – GMG Colour Proofing Machine arrives at The Envelope Works

Mark Farrimond at the Envelope Works has invested in a new GMG Colour Proofing Machine, making it the first envelope overprinter in the UK to possess such technology. The Envelope Works, of The Printing Partners Group has recently invested in a GMG colour-proofing machine.
They are the first envelope manufacturer in the UK to invest in this hi tech piece of machinery in the UK. This is the same machinery that is used by professional photographers.

Envelope Works Purchases First Halm Super Jet EM XL Printer in the UK

The Envelope Works has just purchased the first Halm Super Jet EM 2615 XL printer in the UK, making it their 12th machine on production amongst the other 2-colour and 4-colour printers.
This state of the art leading technology is a 2-colour wide-model taking up to C3 envelopes and offers on the fly control, touch screen and ink control.
The RRP of this product is $214,000.
The Envelope Works invests in two additional print presses to respond to demand

Earby-based envelope over-print specialist, The Envelope Works, has just added 1 x Halm EM4000 four colour press and 1 x Halm 6” two colour jet press to it’s factory in response to increasing demand.
“The now takes us to 3 four colour machines and 8 two colour machines” added Mark Farrimond, the Managing Director.
“Both machines have been in place since the beginning of August and the impact has been instant. Prior to the investment, we were finding that we simply could not keep up with the sheer volume of four colour enquiries we were receiving.”
